Dress… Flowers…Makeup…MAKEUP!?!?!
Your goal….”Look my best on my wedding day” “Leave them speechless” or whatever your version is there needs to be a plan on how you get to your goal. So much effort is put into selecting the other aspects of your wedding like the venue, dress, flowers, and yes maybe even your groom but often brides fall flat when planning what look they want to create on their special day.
Don’t Fret, here are some tips to help you along the process.
Be honest with yourself. Do you want this is my All-time flawless natural look? Or do you really want to add some drama in your life? How can you decide? Research! Start looking through images to find what really appeals to you, but I caution don’t go overboard. Just as easily as this process can help you it can quickly become overwhelming.
Only the Top 3 should be recognized! The way you describe your ideal look for your artist may be interpreted completely different than how you intended, so avoid this with your TOP 3! Your top 3 images are the top 3 of whatever you like, but ONLY 3 reference images. This really narrows your selection down. For example. “I like image one because her cheeks are soft, not too much color and she glows; I love image 2 because I am drawn into her eyes; I like image 3 because of the lip color” Whatever your reason is, selecting 3 solid images and being able to describe what it is about each one will help you and your artist create what you have dreamed of.
Don’t forget your trial… There is a dress rehearsal for your wedding, and so should there be for your makeup. Not only will this give you an opportunity to work with your artist asking whatever questions you may have in a stress free environment, after selecting your artist you can rest assured they are able to complete your look and relax on your big day (at least that is the goal…if not…NEXT!!!).
Finally… When you sit down in your artist’s chair on your big day…Relax. Soak in the moment, you will be married soon. No one will have seen you look as amazing as you do at this moment, you should be giddy with anticipation knowing Your artist has done their job, and will leave everyone breathless!
